Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a People Strategy Partner to lead retention initiatives across several nursing centers in West Virginia. You will spend 90% of your time on the front lines coaching leaders to reduce turnover and elevate the employee experience.

You’ll act as a culture architect, aligning HR strategies with local needs, while ensuring equity, compliance, and a human-centered approach across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum five years of relevant HR experience, ideally in healthcare or a multi-site operational setting.
• Proven knowledge of HR disciplines including compensation, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment law.
• PHR or SHRM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Culture Architect: translate organizational values into daily actions, supporting Nursing Home Administrators and Department Heads.
• Retention Specialist: analyze turnover data and create strategies to keep talent.
• Leadership Catalyst: coach Pod Leaders and nursing center leaders to build high-performing teams.
• Employee Journey Expert: ensure a seamless, respectful, rewarding onboarding and growth path.
• Strategic Navigator: align corporate HR policies with local center needs while staying compliant.
