Job summary

ManpowerGroup, a global leader in staffing, seeks a Payroll Specialist to support our Indianapolis plant. This onsite role focuses on accurate weekly payroll, timekeeping, and benefits administration within a unionized manufacturing setting.

You will validate Kronos configurations, handle new-hire onboarding, and ensure compliance with local pay rules and the Indianapolis CBA. Strong attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in accounting/finance/HR/business preferred.
• Experience in payroll processing, timekeeping, payroll controls, or related role.
• Working knowledge of UKG/Kronos or similar attendance systems; experience in configuration validation and testing preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and payroll or HR reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet weekly payroll deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process weekly payroll for Indianapolis plant employees, ensuring accurate entry of hours worked, overtime, premiums, and deductions.
• Verify, reconcile, document, and resolve payroll/timekeeping discrepancies; escalate issues as needed.
• Serve as onsite point of contact for payroll/timekeeping questions, including new-hire onboarding support.
• Maintain knowledge of the Indianapolis CBA and site pay practices, validating overtime, shift differentials, and holiday pay.
• Act as onsite representative for UKG/Kronos configuration validation and testing, developing test scenarios and documenting defects.
