Henderson Harbor Group is recruiting a Payroll Manager to join our Bridgewater, NJ team onsite. This role reports to the Controller and oversees day-to-day payroll operations for bi-weekly union and non-union staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of payroll experience, proficiency with ADP/Paycom/Vista or similar systems, strong Excel skills, and a high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• 2+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state and/or union payroll.
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, Vista, or similar platform.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
• Highly organized with strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the processing of bi-weekly union and non-union salaried and hourly employees.
• Review timekeeping records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure payroll accuracy.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholding.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manage benefit deductions, retirement contributions, and year-end W-2/1099 processing.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and partner with HR on compensation and benefits updates.
• Prepare payroll reports, support audits, and assist with payroll system enhancements and special projects.

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

2+ years payroll experience
