Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Patient Services Representative I-II for Orthopedics in the Longmont/Broomfield area. This onsite role supports outpatient operations, including patient check-in, scheduling, and referral coordination, with emphasis on HIPAA compliance and quality communication with clinical departments.

Responsibilities include coordinating appointments, verifying insurance, answering calls, and managing copays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year patient-facing experience.
• 2+ years patient-facing experience for level II.
• A bachelor's degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and visitors; sets a positive tone.
• Checks patients in/out and schedules follow-ups.
• Verifies patient and insurance information; documents in EPIC.
• Answers multiple phone lines to assist patients.
• Monitors provider schedules to fill open slots same day.
• Reviews Daily Appointment Report to ensure referrals are accurate.
• Collects patient copays and balances daily.
