Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Assistant to support daily living activities and vital signs under licensed personnel.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility, and help document in the medical record while coordinating with nurses and families. Onsite in Boston, you will participate in routine checks such as temperature, blood pressure, and respiration, and respond to health concerns by reporting to the care team.

Qualifications

• Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience required.
• Bi-lingual skills preferred.
• Prior clinical experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Completes documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Assists with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding.
• Assist with turning and repositioning patients and moving between bed and wheelchair.
• Listens to health concerns and reports them to the nurses.
