Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. in Boston is seeking a patient care assistant whowill support licensed personnel by assisting patients with daily living activities and basic care. This onsite, per diem role emphasizes accurate documentation and compassionate patient interaction.

The position requires ability to lift up to 35 pounds, basic medical terminology knowledge, and proficiency with electronic medical records. Prior elder care experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• BLS and national certifications preferred.
• Experience in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks (bathing, dressing, feeding).
• Assist with turning and repositioning patients and moving between bed and wheelchair.
• Report health concerns to nurses.
