Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking an Operator Representative I for the Digital Communications Center. This on-site role supports a 24x7 call center, handling main hospital numbers, patient information requests, paging, and emergency codes at the BWH Main Campus.

The position requires high school diploma, 35 wpm typing, strong phone skills and comfort in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Training will cover paging systems, code procedures, and confidential information handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to type 35 wpm and knowledge of popular MS Windows software applications.
• Phone-based customer service and/or call center experience required; hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manages incoming and outgoing calls in a courteous manner for a 24x7 call center.
• Processes paging requests and updates paging status as required.
• Issues and manages pagers and updates phone directories and paging databases.
• Responds to patient information inquiries and handles confidential information.
• Escalates unusual problems to the Supervisor and supports on-call schedules.
• Operates at multiple locations as needed and follows Mass General Brigham values.
