Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center (ROC) is hiring a Patient Billing Representative to communicate with patients and insurance companies on claim status for billing or payment at our main Reno location, 555 N. Arlington Ave. This is an onsite role, not remote.

Responsibilities include gathering status updates, appealing claims, resolving outstanding balances, and using an electronic medical records system to identify tasks and appeals. Previous customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate with patients and insurers clearly and professionally.
• Proven de-escalation and problem-solving skills with focus on accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients and insurance companies to obtain claim status and resolve billing issues.
• Use the electronic records system to identify tasks and appeals needing attention.
• Answer inbound calls in the call center to assist patients with billing questions.
