Job summary

McPherson Center for Health is seeking an Admitting Representative (onsite) to support patients through registration and check-in. You will capture demographic and financial information in person, electronically, or by phone while delivering courteous service.

Responsibilities include verifying patient identity, obtaining consent forms, and communicating with various departments. The role requires strong customer service, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of satisfactory clerical experience.
• Ability to commute/relocate for in-person Admissions role.

Responsibilities

• Manage registration and admission process with accuracy and courtesy.
• Greet patients, collect demographic and financial information, and verify identity.
• Explain consent forms and HIPAA notices; obtain signatures where required.
• Enter and verify insurance information in the electronic system; support PBX and clerical tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with departments to direct inquiries and arrange transportation when necessary.
