Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry-level Patient Access Specialist to joining the team at Bon Secours - St Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA. The role focuses on admitting duties for all patients and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Responsibilities include accuracy in MRN assignment, insurance verification, and POS collections, with a strong emphasis on customer service and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Willingness to innovate and explore new ideas (including AI) to improve processes and patient/client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks.
• Collect insurance information and process physician orders with a focus on POS Customer service.
• Meet point-of-service goals and provide excellent service with compassion.
• Utilize insurance verification to select correct plan codes and support billing processes.
• Conduct audits of accounts to ensure timely completion and provide data to leadership.
• Pre-register patient accounts and obtain demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Explain consent forms and ensure signatures and witnesses where required.
• Distribute and explain patient education documents and forms.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software for potential Medicare non-payments.
