Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners in Summerville, SC seeks an entry-level Patient Access Associate Specialist to support admitting duties for hospital services. You will collect demographics and insurance information, verify coverage, and guide patients through the intake process with accuracy and empathy.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company-paid).
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs, verify medical necessity/compliance checks, collect insurance information and process orders with excellent service.
• Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls and maintain professional communication.
• Adhere to policies and provide compassionate customer service.
• Meet point-of-service goals and accuracy standards.
• Audit and correct accounts using quality reporting systems and provide data for leadership.
• Pre-register patient accounts and collect demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education materials.
• Review eligibility in verification system and support POS/billing with correct plan codes.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute forms as required.
