Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for an on-site role at Bon Secours - Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock, VA. The position is part-time with opportunities for bonuses, certifications, and tuition reimbursement.

You will perform admitting duties, verify eligibility, collect insurance information, and manage patient education materials while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and improve patient and client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Patient Access staff are responsible for assigning accurate MRNs, completing medical necessity / compliance checks, providing proper patient instructions, collecting insurance information, receiving and processing physician orders, and utilizing an overlay tool while providing excellent customer service.
• Operates the telephone switchboard to relay calls and adhere to policies while delivering compassionate service.
• Pre-registration of patient accounts and handling demographic, insurance, and financial information, including point of service collections and payment plans.
