Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry-level Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for patients at Valley - War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, WV. The role emphasizes accurate MRN assignment, insurance collection, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes.
• CRCR certification within 9 months of hire (Company Paid)

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks.
• Collect insurance information and process physician orders with excellent customer service.
• Operate the telephone switchboard for calls.
• Adhere to policies and provide compassionate interactions.
• Meet point-of-service goals and support auditing/reporting using quality systems.
• Pre-register patient accounts, obtain demographics and insurance details, including financial liabilities.
• Explain consent forms and provide patient education materials.
• Review insurance eligibility and enter benefit data to support POS and billing.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software for Medicare patients and distribute ABN docs as needed.
