The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Clinical Access is hiring a full-time Patient Access Representative 1 (On-Site) at the Lennar Location. The role registers patients for clinical services, verifies insurance, and collects payments to support smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities include obtaining insurance cards, IDs, referrals, explaining consent forms, guiding patients through questionnaires, scheduling follow-ups, and responding to inquiries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• General knowledge of office procedures and operations.
• Data entry with minimal errors.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients for clinical services and verifies insurance details.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards, driver’s license, and referrals.
• Explains Consent for Treatment, Financial Liability, and HIPAA and obtains signed forms.
• Directs patients to complete required questionnaires.
• Schedules, cancels, and edits appointments and records no-shows accurately.
• Reconciles vouchers and delivers them to the designated area.
• Answers calls and responds to inquiries or transfers as appropriate.
• Adheres to University and unit policies and safeguards University assets.
