Job summary

Summit Electric Supply, part of the Sonepar group, seeks an Onsite Support Specialist – People Manager in Houston, TX. You will lead all Summit staff at the customer site, drive daily operations, ensure safety and service levels, and maintain strong customer relations.

You will oversee inventory accuracy, SAP usage, and staff development while collaborating with HR and Operations leadership to uphold Summit standards and policies.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of leadership in warehouse/operations/onsite services or distribution.
• Proven ability to manage operations with limited supervision.
• Strong SAP proficiency required.
• Customer service orientation and relationship management.
• Valid driver’s license and site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and supervision to all onsite staff at the customer site.
• Own day-to-day execution of onsite operations, ensuring service levels and inventory accuracy.
• Plan, assign, and prioritize work to meet customer demand and Summit standards.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety, organization, and cleanliness of the onsite storeroom/warehouse.
• Lead Lean / 5S practices and continuous improvement at the site.
• Act as Summit’s primary representative to the customer and stakeholders.
