Job summary

World Courier, located onsite in Millbrae, CA, seeks an experienced HR leader to recruit, develop, and manage talent across our global logistics network. The role oversees training, compliance with SOPs, and development of local procedures to ensure quality and efficiency in shipments, including strict cold chain controls.

You will collaborate with managers worldwide, drive performance, manage budgets, and lead various HR initiatives to support growth while maintaining safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Requires four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Requires 5+ years directly related and progressively responsible experience, including 2+ years at a supervisory level.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional manner and sense of urgency.
• Environmental Health & Safety awareness.
• HAZMAT Certification (or understanding thereof).

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, hiring and maintaining talented human resources.
• Developing new employees and overseeing staff training, including timely recurrent training.
• Ensuring compliance with SOPs and good business practices.
• Developing local operational procedures and policies to ensure quality.
• Quarterly review of processes and workflows.
• Collaborating with managers nationally and globally to develop business strategies and support growth.
• Delegation of responsibilities to ensure shipments are properly managed.
• Monitoring station activity, resource needs, and costs while maintaining quality objectives.
• Ensuring that critical cold chain requirements are met.
• Qualifying and maintaining equipment that supports our business.
• Complying with FAA, TSA, FDA and other regulations.
• Troubleshooting and problem management, including CAPA and root causes.
• Conducting performance reviews and succession planning for direct reports.
• Quarterly compensation reviews for direct reports.
• Fostering a cooperative workplace and high morale.
• Managing office expenses and meeting reporting deadlines.
• KPI review and vendor relationship management.
• Understanding and implementing new technology to increase performance.
