Job summary

Via seeks an Operations Manager, Autonomous Vehicle Projects, to lead daily onsite operations and ensure safe, accessible transit through WAV fleets. You will travel to key markets, onboard drivers, and collaborate with disability advocates and local partners to elevate mobility standards.

This field role requires frequent on-site presence and regional travel, with a mission to expand equitable access to transit services and support Via's autonomous vehicle initiatives.

Qualifications

• Operationally experienced, with a background in people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented work (experience with paratransit, Non-emergency Medical Transport, or WAV fleets is a strong plus).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with riders, partners, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily onsite operations of our service, ensuring fleets operate safely and are fully accessible for riders.
• Make real-time decisions on fleet availability, WAV compliance, accessibility needs, and unexpected issues to maintain dependable service.
• Translate rider and community feedback into tangible operational improvements and partner with teams to enhance WAV rider experience.
• Analyze ridership trends, service performance, and fleet utilization to maximize transit efficiency and rider independence.
• Act as the operational bridge between local partners, safety drivers, third-party operators, and Via central teams.
