The Hiring Method, LLC is seeking a highly hands-on Business Operations Manager in San Jose to lead admin, accounting, payroll, and operations for a precision manufacturing facility.

This role blends bookkeeping with shop-floor coordination, owning data accuracy across ERP and accounting systems while partnering with site leadership and production teams to improve processes and metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting the administrative and financial operations of a manufacturing business or production facility.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payment application, reconciliations, payroll, and basic journal entries.
• Hands-on payroll and timekeeping experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing terminology and workflows, including jobs, travelers, labor tracking, materials, and shop-floor operations.
• Ability to independently manage a broad workload and maintain accurate information across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice entry, payment application, collections follow-up, and issue resolution.
• Prepare customer invoices and support day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
• Respond to customer and vendor questions related to orders, invoices, payments, and account status.
• Support payroll processing, employee time tracking, and payroll-related questions from employees.
• Complete month-end journal entries and true-ups related to labor and material activity.
• Reconcile financial activity and maintain accurate information across accounting and operating systems.
• Enter customer purchase orders and manage orders through the ERP workflow from entry to completion.
• Perform job costing, including allocation of material purchases and vendor invoices to individual jobs.
• Monitor shop-floor time entry and confirm labor is charged to the correct jobs.
