Job summary

Pen Manufacturing is seeking an entrepreneurial, hands-on Accounting, Finance & Administration Manager to personally run the administrative backbone of the company in Southern California. You will own the monthly close, cash flow forecasting, AR, payroll, HR administration, and office operations, directly supporting the President.

The role requires 7+ years in accounting/finance with manufacturing exposure; on-site five days a week; experience with QuickBooks, Ramp, Rippling, and ERP systems is

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting, finance, HR-administration, and business-operations experience.
• Experience as an Administration Manager, Accounting Manager, Office and Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or small-company Controller.
• Demonstrated ability to independently complete a monthly financial close.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, accruals, AR, collections, payroll, benefits, and cash forecasting.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, distribution, aerospace, or industrial services strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory, WIP, job costing, and manufacturing ERP systems.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Ramp, Rippling, or comparable systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Personally own the monthly financial close and related reporting.
• Manage accounting, AR, cash flow, and AP oversight.
• Oversee payroll, benefits, HR administration, and compliance.
• Coordinate tax filings, notices, and coordination with outside CPA.
• Maintain confidential employee records and HR processes.
• Support budgeting, audits, and lender reporting.
• Develop and maintain administrative processes and systems.
