Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Ambulatory Treatment Center (ATC) Pharmacy team in Houston. The role supports medication preparation, distribution, and inventory within a fast-paced outpatient cancer care environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, Texas Pharmacy Technician registration, and at least two years of technician experience. Preferred: IV sterile products certification and PTCB certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) required.
• Two years of pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, infusion center, or retail pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in medication preparation, distribution, compounding (sterile and non-sterile), and inventory management.
• Maintains proficiency in assigned pharmacy areas, meeting accuracy, quality, and productivity standards.
• Develops, maintains, and delivers employee training programs and competency materials.
• Demonstrates accountability in completing duties and projects.
• Maintains understanding of workflows within specialized pharmacy areas.
• Completes quality assurance and productivity reports accurately and on time.
• Supports regulatory compliance and accreditation requirements.
