Job summary

MD Anderson Cancer Center's Ambulatory Treatment Center (ATC) Pharmacy team delivers high-volume infusion treatments and complex chemotherapy regimens in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. You'll collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure timely, accurate medication delivery for same-day treatments, while gaining exposure to cutting-edge oncology protocols and advanced compounding practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, infusion center, or retail pharmacy.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) required.
• Preferred: PTCB Certification and IV Sterile Products Certification (ACPE).

Responsibilities

• Participates in medication preparation, distribution, compounding (sterile and non-sterile), and inventory management.
• Maintains proficiency in assigned pharmacy areas and adheres to accuracy, quality, and productivity standards.
• Develops and delivers employee training programs and competency materials.
• Ensures quality assurance and follows through on corrective actions and improvements.
• Coordinates complex materials and communications using Microsoft 365 tools.
