Job summary

MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Woodlands campus. The ideal candidate holds a Certified Pharmacy Technician credential and has at least two years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in an ambulatory oncology or hospital setting.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support safe, accurate medication delivery. Responsibilities include sterile compounding, inventory management, IV preparation and adherence to SOPs, with the potential to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification is required.
• Two years of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred in a hospital/oncology setting.
• Must pass pre-employment skills test.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for sterile compounding (USP 797/800/NIOSH) and manage hazardous drugs safely.
• Demonstrate proficiency with automation and medication systems (BD Cato, Phacts, OneConnect).
• Maintain inventory and supply chain processes, including restocking and waste control.
• Perform IV preparation and aseptic techniques.
• Complete pump assignments, PM monitoring, and equipment maintenance.
• Provide floor stock and support daily operations, extending hours as needed.
