Suburban Hematology Oncology Associates (SHOA) is seeking a CPC-certified Coding Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team in Lawrenceville, GA. You will review medical records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payer requirements.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and staff, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, and supporting audits. This is a 100% onsite position located in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Qualifications

• CPC certification is required and must be in good standing.
• At least 2+ years of professional medical coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Familiarity with Medicare and commercial payer requirements.
• Ability to review documentation for accuracy and coding compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes per guidelines.
• Ensure codes are properly sequenced according to documentation and payer rules.
• Assess charts for completeness and coding accuracy; obtain clarifications as needed.
• Stay current with coding guidelines and regulatory updates.
• Support coding audits and audit readiness; assist with training others as needed.
