Job summary

OneOncology is seeking a Medical Coding Specialist to perform daily charge reviews across visits, diagnoses, radiation oncology, or surgeries. The role supports input of charges into EMR or practice management systems and audits physician and clinical staff documentation for CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers.

The ideal candidate holds a CPC or CCS-P certification with 4+ years of coding experience, including chart auditing.

Qualifications

• Must have a CPC, CCS-P, or other professional coding certification.
• Minimum of 4 years coding experience preferred.
• 2 years’ experience performing chart audits or assignment of appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes through documentation review.

Responsibilities

• Review and input charges into EMR or practice management systems.
• Perform E&M and CPT coding review and audits for compliance.
• Abstract codes for surgical procedures and assign appropriate place of service and decision-making levels.
• Assist leadership with data analysis and reporting on coding issues.
• Maintain knowledge of current coding regulations and standards.
