Job summary

Related is seeking a Cost Manager for its New York City offices to support data center projects. This full-time onsite role reports to the Senior Vice President and drives cost reporting, budgeting and collaboration with development, construction and accounting teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in real estate development or construction management, with strong Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in real estate development or construction management, data centers preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Act as intermediary between development, construction, accounting and legal to produce financial/cost reporting.
• Ensure compliance with cost processes.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Transform estimates into cost code structures for project use.
• Maintain ACR structure with new cost codes for budget, contracts, holds and unbought scope.
• Prepare cost analyses and reports with historical, current and forecasted data.
• Develop cash flows and update as required.
• Work with procurement to ensure bid budgets are accurate.
• Assist in contract close-out and incorporate cost data into close-out processes.
