Job summary

Related Companies is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support the Senior BIM Manager on active high-rise construction projects in New York. You will act as the central liaison among internal teams, trades and consultants, coordinating MEP models and BIM workflows to ensure seamless integration of architectural, structural, and MEP information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Experience on high-rise commercial and/or residential projects preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks and 3DS Max.
• Strong 2D drafting and 3D modeling capabilities.
• Experience running collision detection.
• Ability to work with stakeholders, trades, unions, vendors and senior management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a BIM coordination schedule aligned with the project schedule.
• Manage and organize the project coordination documents folder for trades.
• Oversee and coordinate all MEP models, integrating architectural and structural details.
• Lead design coordination meetings between trades and consultants.
• Review, manage, and submit RFIs and shop drawings in a timely manner.
• Perform collision detection to identify and resolve conflicts proactively.
• Provide guidance to trades on design and owner changes.
• Generate 2D and 3D logistics plans to support field operations.
• Draft and model project information to support workflows.
• Create field coordination drawings derived from subcontractor shop drawings.
