Job summary

Custom Engineering, Inc. is seeking a BIM Coordinator to lead the setup, maintenance, and coordination of MEP models on on-site projects in Kansas City, MO. The role focuses on enforcing BIM standards and ensuring seamless collaboration among engineers, designers, and external partners.

Responsibilities include resolving clashes, documenting construction deliverables, and supporting project schedules. Ideal candidates have strong BIM tools experience and the ability to train teammates in BIM

Qualifications

• BIM Coordination and Building Information Modeling (BIM) skills with REVIT MEP and Collaborate Pro.
• Foundational knowledge of architecture and building systems.
• MEP coordination expertise and ability to work with engineers and designers.
• Project management-related skills including task prioritization and schedule tracking.
• Experience in BIM roles within commercial or industrial building projects and familiarity with clash detection workflows.
• Proficiency in Navisworks or similar review tools, knowledge of BIM standards, strong communication, and ability to present model findings to project stakeholders.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain project models in REVIT and Collaborate Pro; enforce BIM standards.
• Coordinate model content with internal engineers, designers, and external project partners.
• Support clash detection, resolve model conflicts, and ensure accurate documentation for construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to align model deliverables with schedules and quality expectations.
• Train and support team members in BIM workflows; contribute to continuous improvement of digital design processes.
