Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company staffing position at WECTEC Staffing Services is an I&C Engineer on a 3-year contract at the South Texas nuclear plant in Wadsworth, TX. The role focuses on replacing unit auxiliary transformers and related monitoring and protection equipment, with a design team preparing I&C portions of engineering change packages.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of I&C engineering experience in nuclear plant design.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience with specification, technical, engineering writing.
• Understanding of configuration management, requirements management, and V&V concepts.
• Knowledge of statistics and data analysis.
• Experience with data entry and database management.
• Able to pass nuclear background, drug screen and fitness for duty.

Responsibilities

• Review manufacturer design drawings and determine required I/O signals.
• Determine topology and configuration with Operations, System Engineering, and Electrical Responsible Engineer.
• Communicate device configurations and topology to the manufacturer.
• Facilitate annunciation device and Integrated Computer System (ICS) alarm configurations.
• Develop trip logic diagram modifications with concurrence from the team.
• EC development and Document Change Notice preparation.
