Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise sits at the heart of edge-to-cloud networking and invites a Resident Engineer to work onsite with a major partner/customer. The role centers on technical leadership in Juniper networking, design reviews, and cross-team collaboration to deliver robust solutions.

The candidate will design, validate, and optimize customer deployments, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring alignment with engineering standards and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Typically 6+ years of data center routing, switching, and network architecture experience.
• Proficiency in Junos configurations and knowledge of Junos EVO software.
• Experience developing test automation and scripts in Python.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for networking technology in a customer-facing role.
• Provide primary technical support for break/fix activities and rapid recovery.
• Advise customers on best practices for Junos configurations and network design.
• Collaborate with internal teams and partners for engineering design and development.
• Review designs for compliance with technology and development standards; provide feedback.
• Contribute engineering leadership to cross-organizational projects and programs.
• Drive innovation by integrating new technologies into projects and designs.
• Mentor and guide junior staff.
