Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in New Jersey seeks a Resident Engineer (Onsite) to serve as the primary technical contact for service provider networking projects, focusing on Juniper technologies within customer deployments.

The role requires deep networking knowledge, test automation experience with Python, and collaboration with internal and partner teams. Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center routing, switching, and network architecture experience.
• JNCIP-level proficiency required.
• Proven ability to develop test automation and write Python scripts.
• Up to 10% travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for HPE products in service provider networking; support network design, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, best practices, and automation.
• Provide primary technical support for break/fix activities and rapid recovery of services.
• Advise customers on Junos configurations and network design best practices.
• Manage and grow relationships with internal teams and outsourced partners in engineering design and development.
• Review designs for compliance with technology and development standards; provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute domain-specific expertise and engineering leadership to cross-organizational projects.
• Drive innovation by integrating new technologies into projects and designs.
• Mentor and guide junior staff members.
