Job summary

RTX, Pratt & Whitney, is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing Inspector in Asheville, NC, to ensure airworthiness of aircraft components using FPI, X-Ray, Ultrasonic, CT, and Etch.

The role requires 1+ year in manufacturing/inspection, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read engineering drawings. This is a 2nd shift, onsite position with opportunities to train and mentor others while supporting a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of relevant experience in manufacturing, inspection or quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive inspection methods such as FPI, X-Ray, Ultrasonic, CT, and Etch based on qualifications.
• Inspect and clean aircraft components per customer specs and airworthiness directives.
• Identify defects, interpret results, document findings, and communicate to operations.
• Maintain NDT equipment setup and ensure proper handling of components.
• Read engineering drawings and provide guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Train NDT trainees and Level 1 inspectors when certified.
