Job summary

MANTECH seeks a highly experienced Electrical In‑Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) Technician to join our team at JEB Little Creek, Virginia Beach, VA. This is an on-site role supporting DoD/Navy programs with advanced electrical systems expertise.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, boat system maintenance, surveys, validations, and documentation updates. A Secret clearance is required; preferred qualifications include a related degree and shipboard experience.

Qualifications

4+ years DoD or Navy engineering/maintenance experience.
Experience with electrical systems: navigation, comms, steering, propulsion, HVAC, shore power.
Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical or networked systems.
Experience supporting shipboard installations and testing.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, provide on-call support, upgrade, maintain, and repair boat systems at waterfront locations.
Conduct boat surveys, inspections, validations, and testing to verify performance.
Support configuration control, update technical documentation, support overhauls, and replacements for obsolete parts.
Track findings and lifecycle data; provide crew familiarization and share information with end-customers.
Capture redlined drawing updates, administer SOVT, and complete boat checks.
Recommend process improvements to boost system availability, readiness, and sustainment.
