Job summary

MANTECH is seeking a motivated Senior Hull Electrical Technician to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This onsite role supports Navy ship programs and involves engineering tasks for standard Navy boats, inspections, and work package development.

The ideal candidate will hold an active OUPV Captain's license, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of marine electrical systems and diesel engines. Domestic and international travel may be required, and a SECRET clearance will be pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• Proficiency with Excel for tracking, scheduling and reporting.
• Experience supporting Navy boat programs.
• Knowledge of 12-, 24-, and 120- volt configurations.
• Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to Navy ships for Navy standard boats.
• Inspect and write detailed inspection reports on standard Navy boats.
• Develop comprehensive work packages based on inspection reports.
• Develop TIP trackers based on approved work packages.
• Track overall progress on boats as work packages are executed.
• Develop cost and effort estimates for customers for scheduled and emergent work.
• Coordinate boat movements and logistics with Navy ship representatives.
