Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Marine Electrical Subject Matter Expert for the Surface Enhance Capability Program (SECAP) to assist ship’s force personnel onboard U.S. Naval Vessels in San Diego, CA.

The role focuses on troubleshooting electrical equipment and maintaining auxiliaries including AFFF and CM/Washdown systems. The position requires 8 years of marine electrical experience, shipboard drawing literacy, hand tools, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• 8 years of related experience, including shipboard marine electrician work.
• Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
• Ability to read and interpret shipboard drawings and schematics.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a confidential DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME in technical specialty; may work with customers or representatives.
• Manage, oversee, schedule and assign tasks to multiple jobs; install, operate, maintain, repair and modify equipment.
• Perform maintenance and technical support on products, systems and subsystems at customer or field locations.
• Analyze and troubleshoot to diagnose malfunctions and reduce downtime.
• Install, upgrade and remove products; ensure effective customer communications and training.
