Job summary

Emmerson Construction, Inc. in Sacramento is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for our Rivercity project. You will assist with supervision of on-site activities, manage subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and help with 6-week look ahead schedules.

The role requires OSHA 30, familiarity with construction plans, and proficiency in MS Office and project management tools. A hybrid working environment and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the multi-family construction industry or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with construction site supervision and direct foreman and trades when needed.
• Perform inspections prior to formal inspections, verify work meets codes and Emmerson standards, and accompany the Inspector.
• Collect subcontractor safety meeting paperwork and report non-compliance to the Superintendent.
• Walk units to check quality, create punch lists, and correct items to meet standards.
• Oversee safe site operations, identify safety violations, and correct them immediately.
• Complete Emmerson Daily Reports and submit daily manpower counts.
• Collaborate on 6-week look ahead schedules and coordinate trades on site.
• Attend meetings, take minutes, and circulate to trades.
