Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners is seeking an MPS Planner to lead master production scheduling and materials planning in a Sandusky, MI manufacturing environment. You will plan, release, and optimize material flow, coordinating with operations, procurement, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and inventory health.

The role offers exposure across manufacturing functions and opportunities to drive continuous improvement in planning and supply chain performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or APICS certification or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of planning or purchasing in manufacturing.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience with MRP, JIT and Kanban methods.
• Lean manufacturing principles knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, release, and reschedule supply orders to align demand, capacity, and material availability.
• Manage customer order commitments, acknowledgments, delivery dates, and expedite requests.
• Own material planning activities for assigned products and components.
• Execute supply planning and procurement strategies to support production requirements.
• Maintain ERP master data and planning attributes.
• Coordinate return-to-vendor activities and supplier communication.
• Improve on-time delivery and inventory health through proactive planning.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing and scheduling teams to hit goals.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze planning metrics and inventory trends to improve performance.
