JMS Technical Solutions in Western New York is seeking an experienced Master Production Planner to lead master scheduling, capacity planning, and ERP/MRP strategies on-site. This role ensures material availability, schedule attainment, and inventory optimization while driving continuous process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5-10 years in production planning, strong ERP/MRP expertise, and a proven ability to balance long-term improvements with daily requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years of experience in production planning and master scheduling.
• Extensive ERP/MRP experience in manufacturing.
• Experience developing production schedules and capacity planning.
• Experience implementing PFEP, replenishment, Kanban, Min/Max or pull-system methods preferred.
• APICS/ASCM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute master production schedules aligning demand, material, capacity and priorities.
• Analyze demand, forecast requirements, inventory levels, and capacity to maintain schedule stability.
• Monitor WIP to support flow and attainment.
• Serve as ERP/MRP planning expert and govern parameters and policies.
• Develop PFEP and replenishment strategies; design pull systems and Kanban.
• Lead material flow improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting planning accuracy and material availability.
• Track KPI like schedule attainment, inventory health, capacity utilization, and planning accuracy.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Finance, Production Control.
• Support S&OP, demand planning, inventory planning, and new product introduction with data analysis.
