Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners in Sandusky, MI, is seeking an MPS Planner for a full-time, onsite role. You will plan and reschedule supply orders to align demand, capacity, and material availability while coordinating with operations and procurement to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in planning/purchasing in manufacturing, with MRP/JIT/Kanban experience and APICS certification or equivalent. Oracle ERP/ASCP exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent with APICS certification or experience
• 5+ years of Planning and/or Purchasing experience in manufacturing
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with MRP, JIT, and Kanban methodologies
• Lean manufacturing principles knowledge
• Experience supporting production planning and materials management
• Ability to coordinate cross-functionally with operations, procurement and suppliers

Responsibilities

• Plan, release, and reschedule supply orders to align demand, capacity, and material availability
• Manage customer order commitments, order acknowledgments, delivery dates, and expedite requests
• Own material planning activities for assigned products and components
• Execute supply planning and procurement strategies to support production requirements
• Maintain planning attributes and master data within ERP systems
• Coordinate return-to-vendor activities as needed
• Improve on-time delivery, inventory health, and lead-time performance
• Work with suppliers to resolve shortages and disruptions
• Partner with procurement, manufacturing, scheduling, and operations teams to support goals
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze planning metrics and inventory trends to improve performance
