Job summary

Mortgo Lending in Birmingham, MI is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer who will originate and structure loans, meet clients to understand goals, and recommend financing options from Mortgo's product lineup.

You will guide applicants through the process, collect documents, coordinate with underwriting and processing, and maintain client relationships with real estate agents and referral partners while staying current on market trends to provide accurate advice.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Loan Officer or similar lending role.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending practices, including conventional, government-backed, and investment property loan products.
• Familiarity with underwriting principles and documentation requirements.
• Strong customer service, clear communication, active listening, and client relationship skills.
• Proficiency with loan origination systems and basic financial analysis.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple client files in a fast-paced environment.
• On-site in Birmingham, MI with local referral partner relationships.
• State mortgage loan originator license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Preferred: DSCR loans, investment property financing, and commission-based role.

• Stay informed about market trends, loan programs, and industry changes to offer accurate advice.
