Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mold Technician in Blue Ash, OH. The role involves setting up, installing, and changing molds on injection molding equipment, performing routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to ensure safe, efficient production with high-quality output.

You will implement mold changeovers, inspect equipment, and collaborate with maintenance teams. The position is onsite with a contract-to-hire path and requires standing for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production or manufacturing machinery.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude for working with mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and install molds on injection molding equipment per schedules and specs.
• Perform mold changeovers with proper alignment and secure connections.
• Inspect molds for damage, wear, and defects.
• Clean and lubricate molds and tooling regularly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on molds and tooling.
• Troubleshoot molding issues and adjust to maintain quality.
• Monitor equipment during production for issues and respond promptly.
• Assist with startup procedures for safe ramp-up of production.
• Support shutdown procedures for molding equipment and safe storage of tooling.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance to fix issues and improve processes.
• Follow safety guidelines and SOPs when using tools and machinery.
