Job summary

Rust Belt Recruiting seeks a Process Technician for our Clyde, OH production facility. The role supports complex program launches, improves production efficiency, and performs mold changes, color changes, and startup tasks to keep lines running smoothly.

You will troubleshoot injection molding, document parameters, and strive for maximum uptime while meeting safety and quality standards. Must have 3–5 years in troubleshooting injection molding and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in troubleshooting injection molding.
Working knowledge of decoupled molding principles and the four plastic variables.
High School Diploma or GED.
Proficiency in thermoplastic injection molding and mold set-ups.
Experience with robotics, specifically FANUC, C Pro, Whitman, or Ari systems.
Strong work ethic and willingness to grow through continuing education.
Training from RJG (Systematic Molding) or Paulson programs.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bending/reaching with dexterity.

Responsibilities

Set molds, startup, and troubleshoot the injection molding process.
Maximize uptime on machine centers to eliminate downtime.
Document all process parameters on Master Setup Sheets.
Adjust machine settings to prevent defects and respond to quality issues.
Drive scrap reduction through corrective action and proper mold maintenance forms.
Perform mold changes, color changes, and essential cleanup work.
Ensure all mold protection settings and process specifications meet requirements.
Identify maintenance concerns and assist with resolution to maintain efficiencies.
Participate in training Process Technicians and Operators as needed.
Ensure safety features such as drop bars and safety switches function correctly.
