Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking an Engineering Model Maker for our Onsite role in Plymouth, MN. You will organize, maintain, and operate the Model Shop, producing machined parts, assemblies, and sheet metal components to support Technology Center goals.

You will work with blueprints and verbal directions, operate a range of machine tools, and participate in process improvements while training others and keeping the shop safe and organized.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of six years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: Universal Refrigeration Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Create machined parts, assemblies and sheet metal components using blueprints, sketches or verbal direction.
• Operate and maintain a wide variety of machine tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Provide recommendations to Management regarding procedures, process improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Model Shop area and ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of Model Shop and train personnel as needed.
• Train other employees in day‑to‑day procedures.
