Daikin Applied in Plymouth, MN is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage supplier quality processes. You will interface with supplier base and cross-functional teams to qualify new suppliers, new parts, resolve nonconformities, and drive continuous improvements.

Daily tasks include assessing supplier performance, planning supplier audits, issuing SCARs, supporting PPAP levels, and leading multiple projects to milestones. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of related supplier quality experience.
• No work visa sponsorship available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assess supplier performance with analytical analysis and report findings.
• Establish contact with current and potential suppliers for projects and audits.
• Assess new suppliers and provide thorough recommendations.
• Issue SCARs and help suppliers implement corrective actions.
• Monitor SCARs for timely responses and effectiveness.
• Represent quality in new product development and supplier transitions.
• Identify PPAP levels and approvals, manage multiple projects to milestones.
• Support supplier changes via change requests; travel up to 15% domestic/international.
