Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Plymouth, MN. This onsite role will drive supplier qualification, nonconformity resolution, and continuous quality improvements with cross‑functional teams.

You will evaluate supplier performance, lead PPAP activities, and manage multiple ongoing projects while traveling up to 15% as needed. A bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ Years of related experience or training.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assess supplier performance and communicate analysis findings with recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain regular contact with current and potential suppliers regarding projects, self‑assessments, qualifications, and supplier on‑site audit planning.
• Assess potential new suppliers and make recommendations based on thorough vetting processes.
• Issue supplier level corrective actions (SCARs) and assist suppliers in implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor SCARs to ensure response and effectiveness.
• Represent quality during new product development and supplier transition projects.
• Identify PPAP levels and PPAP approval.
• Manage multiple projects to meet milestones.
• Engage in Supplier Change Requests to support supplier changes.
• Some travel may be required up to 15% domestic and international.
