Job summary

Datavant is hiring an entry-level ROI processor in Miami, FL to handle medical record requests with accuracy and privacy compliance. You will learn to process releases of information, assist with patient walk-ins, phone support, and mail/fax requests, while using Microsoft Office tools and healthcare software.

The role includes onsite training and full benefits. As part of the team, you will safeguard patient privacy, document information across platforms, and ensure timely, high-quality service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to commute between locations as needed.
• Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Comfortable utilizing phones, fax, printers, and other office equipment.
• Professional verbal and written English communication.
• Detail- and quality-oriented with accurate medical records.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Work with minimal supervision amid changing priorities.
• Organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for patient health information per policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and policies.
• Inform manager of issues or fluctuating volumes.
• Assist with additional duties as needed.
• Ensure privacy regulations prevent unauthorized disclosures.
• Prepare new patient charts and gather documents.
• Assemble medical records in standard order.
• Create digital images of paperwork for EMR storage.
• Respond to internal and external requests for records.
