RTX in Tucson, AZ, seeks a metrology/calibration technician to test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain mechanical and optical measuring equipment. You will work from drawings, apply GD&T, and ensure tools meet quality standards. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance are required.

Starting pay rate listed at $31.19 per hour. This is an onsite role with potential for continued growth, comprehensive benefits, and a structured career path within a union environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
• Three (3) years of experience in metrology/calibration.
• Experience working from drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Testing, calibration, adjustment, cleaning and minor repairs to mechanical and optical measuring equipment.
• Utilizes Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) methodology.
• Maintains tools, gauges, and test equipment to meet quality requirements.
• Performs mechanical calibration on materials and equipment per drawings.
