Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an onsite Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Technician with at least 3 years of experience in hydraulic, vacuum, pneumatic and refrigeration systems. The role requires reading blueprints, operating machine tools, and coordinating with engineers on modifications.

You must be able to work shifts including overnight and obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years experience in layout, fabrication, assembly, checking and testing of hydraulic, vacuum, pneumatic and refrigeration equipment.
• Must work shifts including overnight.
• Ability to read blueprints and primary design drawings; follow sketches and verbal instructions.
• Must obtain and maintain U.S. secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, assembly, installation, diagnosis, repair and modification on hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, vacuum, and gas systems for test equipment.
• Perform functional and operational tests on units.
• Coordinate with engineers on mechanical modifications to improve equipment.
• Provide sketches/diagrams to aid modifications.
• Prepare written test reports and maintenance recommendations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor metal work as needed.
