Job summary

Amazon’s Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team seeks an Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) in New Castle, DE to provide first aid and guidance on occupational health. The role collaborates with the WHS Site Manager and specialists to support a safe workplace, manage records, and coordinate care and return-to-work for associates.

The OMR will conduct case management, enforce safety practices, and participate in training for CPR/AED while maintaining credentials.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Current valid BLS certification by ECC provider.
• EMT or Paramedic Certification from DOH or NREMT; OR Athletic Trainer Certification.
• Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training by AHA or Red Cross.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with an industrial wellness program.
• Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching on body mechanics.
• Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and Workers Compensation.
• In the last year, six months job experience in the Military as a Combat Medic or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and refer to outside medical providers as needed.
• Minimize AA injury risk through education and proactive engagement.
• Maintain all records of care provided to AAs.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for AAs.
• Provide daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.
• Engage with AAs and leadership to coach on safe work habits.
• Maintain a clean environment and medical supply inventory.
• Participate in training for first aid, CPR, AED certifications.
• Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols.
• Assist emergency response on site.
