Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to support Workplace Health & Safety at a Smithfield, NC site. The role includes administering first aid, guiding associates on injuries, and coordinating return-to-work programs.

You will work with the WHS team and participate in safety committees and shift coverage. Required certifications include BLS, with EMT/Paramedic or Athletic Trainer credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma is required.
• Current valid BLS certification is required and EMT/Paramedic or Athletic Trainer credentials are preferred.
• Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital recordkeeping; knowledge of OSHA regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and refer to external medical providers as needed.
• Minimize injury risk through awareness, education and engagement on the floor.
• Maintain all care records and coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs.
• Engage with leadership to coach on safe work habits and maintain inventory of medical supplies.
• Support training for first aid, CPR and AED certifications and respond to emergencies.
