HealthMark Group is seeking an onsite Medical Records Processing Specialist for our Hickory, NC location. This entry-level role focuses on processing ROI requests with strict turnaround times and high accuracy, while maintaining confidentiality of PHI and compliance with HIPAA policies.

The position offers full-time hours and an opportunity to grow within a fast-moving health IT company. Responsibilities include handling ROI requests, quality checks, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Entry-level job—no specialized degrees required.
• Familiarity with HIPAA confidentiality is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Complete all incoming ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain 100% ROI accuracy.
• Complete all STATs within one hour and maintain a 24-hour turnaround for other ROI requests.
• Keep all queues current.
• Validate requests and authorize for release of PHI.
• Perform quality checks for accuracy, confidentiality, and invoicing.
• Maintain confidentiality, security, and ethics with PHI during transport, storage, and disposal.
• Complete legal affidavits and questions as needed.
• Scan ROI requests into the chart.
• Follow ROI policies of HealthMark and the client.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance and dress code as required.
• Keep work area clean and records properly stored.
• Update facility guide as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and be proactive in addressing issues.
• Communicate effectively with customers and assist with status updates by phone.
